As we begin to extend ourselves out into our communities we naturally become involved with social movements and addressing issues of importance to our community and world. We look to the "leaders" to help guide us in setting standards. All too often in our world we have followed leaders who have not had an authentic intent to really serve the needs of the people. However, throughout the ages there has been true leaders who have helped humanity to step into the next level of social evolution. How can we tell the difference? Just look for the "Leaders Who Follow". Leaders who follow the people are the only true leaders. These days every individual is awakening to the leader inside their own hearts and as we move further along the path of sustainability we discover that it is through our own efforts and leadership that real change comes.
It is on this branch of the Tree of Sustainability that we will celebrate and acknowledge our modern day "Leaders Who Follow" and call forth our own leader within to take positive pro-active steps towards our common vision of a healthy and sustainable society.
